Phillip focuses on how metasurfaces and integrated photonics can be used to scale quantum computing systems using neutral atoms and trapped ions as well as make quanutm sensors more robust. Previously, he worked for 2 years at Quantinuum developing photonics for trapped ion quantum computing and received his MSci in Physics at Imperial College London where he worked on entangled photon sources.
