Bertie is developing nanophotonic platforms for application to quantum computing and quantum sensing, with a particular interest in the integration of 2D and thin-layer materials. He received his MChem from Oxford, where his Master's project focused on developing electrochemical methods for protein detection using graphene electrodes.
